Claude: 5 new features to turn on today (plus 10 more things it released this month)

Ready-to-send documents and decks, a browser, editable memory, incognito chats and Opus 5.5: where to find each one, a prompt to try it, then the 10 other Claude releases of the last 30 days.

Claude added five features that change what you can hand it every day. It gives you a file ready to send, does tasks on websites for you, shows you what it remembers about you, forgets a chat when you ask, and runs on a top-tier model for a lot less.

This guide shows you where to find each one, gives you a prompt to try it right away, then lists the 10 other Claude releases between October 8 and November 7, 2026. Everything was checked on November 8, 2026 against Anthropic's help pages and announcements.

✅What you need
1
A Claude account. The free plan is enough for documents, decks, memory and incognito chats.
2
A paid plan for Opus 5.5 and the browser. Pro, Max, Ultra, Team or Enterprise.
3
A real task from your week. A client report, a deck, a pricing check: you learn faster on a real deliverable than on an example.

Try all five in one chat

Switch to Opus 5.5 first (section 5), open a new chat and paste this prompt. Claude picks the right feature for each part and walks you through it.

I want to use your new features on my real work: documents and decks, the browser, editable memory, incognito chats and Opus 5.5.
First, ask me 3 questions about my business and what I need to deliver this week.
Then:
1. make me a document or a deck I can send as is,
2. suggest one task you could do for me on a website,
3. list what you remember about me, so I can fix anything that's wrong.

Files ready to send

📄 any chat
⚙️How to use it
4
Ask for it in any chat. Claude Docs makes documents, Claude Slides makes decks, Claude Design makes visuals. You can also start from a template in the Artifacts tab.
5
Edit it like you would with a coworker. "Make slide 3 shorter," "add a summary at the top." You can also type straight into the file.
6
Export it. A deck goes to PowerPoint, PDF or Google Slides. A document goes to Word, PDF, Markdown or Google Docs.
Make me a [NUMBER]-slide deck about [TOPIC] for [WHO WILL SEE IT].
One idea per slide, short sentences, and a last slide with the next step.
Here's the material: [YOUR NOTES OR YOUR DOCUMENT].
Where you save the most time
Drop in your notes from a client call or a meeting transcript, then ask "turn this into a clean sales proposal." Available on every plan, Free included, since it left beta on October 8.

A browser that works for you

🌐 Claude in Chrome or Claude Desktop
🧩Option A: the Claude in Chrome extension
7
Install it from the Chrome Web Store. Click "Add to Chrome," then sign in with your Claude account.
8
Pin it. Click the puzzle piece icon, then the pin next to "Claude."
9
Pick your permission mode. In the menu on the chat input, "Manually approve" asks for your OK before every action. Start with that one.
🖥️Option B: the browser built into the desktop app
10
Start a Cowork task in the Claude Desktop app. As soon as the task involves a website, a browser opens in the side panel. Claude opens pages, clicks, types and fills in forms while you watch.
11
Keep the app open. It has to stay on and online, even if you started the task from your phone.
Go to [WEBSITE] and [THE TASK, E.G. COLLECT THE PRICES AND PLANS OF THESE 3 COMPETITORS, OR FILL OUT THIS CONTACT FORM WITH MY DETAILS].
Show me what you're doing as you go.
Stop and ask me before you send, buy or submit anything.
Safety
Claude asks for your permission the first time it acts on a site, and high-risk sites are blocked. The first few times, stay with it, and don't let it log into an important account or pay for anything without you. The extension only works in Google Chrome, on a computer, on a paid plan. The built-in browser is on Pro, Max and Ultra, and on Team and Enterprise unless an admin turned it off.

Memory you can edit

🧠 Settings > Your Claude
🔍See and fix what it remembers
12
Open Settings > Your Claude, then "Manage" next to Your memory. In the older Settings layout, it's Settings > Memory.
13
Read the Topics list. That's everything Claude remembers about you, sorted by topic.
14
Edit or delete. The edit icon changes a topic, "Delete" removes it. The fix applies to every conversation from then on.
Tell me everything you remember about me, grouped by topic.
Flag anything that looks out of date, wrong or too personal,
and tell me what to change or delete in my memory settings.
✍️Teach it something on purpose
Remember this about me for our next chats: [WHAT YOU WANT IT TO KNOW, E.G. I RUN A 5-PERSON AGENCY, MY CLIENTS ARE SMALL BUSINESSES, I WANT SHORT AND DIRECT ANSWERS].
Good to know
Memory is on by default on Free, Pro, Max and Ultra. Sensitive topics, like health, only go in if you turn on "Include sensitive topics in memory." Coming from another AI assistant? "Start import," in the same place, brings over what it knew about you (still experimental).

Incognito chats

👻 the ghost icon
⚙️How to use it
15
Start a new chat, outside a project. The ghost icon shows up at the top right.
16
Click it. A black border and an "Incognito chat" label confirm the mode.
17
Chat as usual. The chat stays out of your history and your memory, and isn't used to train models.
This stays between us. I'm thinking about [THE SITUATION, E.G. LETTING GO OF A CLIENT WHO NEVER PAYS ON TIME].
Help me see it clearly, don't hold back, and tell me what you'd do in my position.
When to use it
For a personal question, to test a prompt, or to work on someone else's file without cluttering your memory. Two limits: Anthropic keeps these chats for 30 days for safety, and in the new Claude experience they can't create files or run code. For a document, switch back to a normal chat.

Opus 5.5

⚡ the model menu, next to the send button
⚙️How to switch
18
Open the model menu. It sits next to the send button.
19
Pick Opus 5.5. Released September 22, 2026. According to Anthropic, it performs at the level of Claude Fable 5.1 on most work and costs 40% less to run than Opus 5.
20
Set the effort. Low or Medium for simple questions, High for everyday work, Extra high or Max for a hard problem.
$4 / $20
Opus 5.5, per million tokens (input / output, API)
$10 / $50
Fable 5.1, the model above it
I'm going to give you a hard problem, so take your time and think it through.
[YOUR PROBLEM, E.G. SHOULD I RAISE MY PRICES BY 20%, OR WHICH ACQUISITION CHANNELS SHOULD I FOCUS ON FOR THE NEXT 90 DAYS].
Ask me the questions you need first, then give me a clear answer and the reasoning behind it.
Plans
Opus is on paid plans only (Pro, Max, Ultra, Team, Enterprise). Fable 5.1 stays on top for the most demanding reasoning. For almost everything else, Opus 5.5 is enough.

10 more releases this month

🗓️ October 8 to November 7, 2026
📊
Claude Dashboards (October 8)
Connect BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks or Salesforce, ask your question in your own words, and get a live dashboard. You can send it on to Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog or Hex. In beta on paid plans.
🎬
Claude Motion (October 8)
Turns a report, a chart or a product walkthrough into an animated explainer you can edit and download as an MP4. No generated footage and no AI-generated people: everything is animated from your own content. In beta on Team and Enterprise.
🎨
Send a Claude Doc to Canva (October 29)
In the Claude Desktop app, open a Claude Doc on its own page: the Share menu now has "Send to" options for partner apps such as Canva.
🤝
Claude Duet (October 21)
A separate app where Claude works on its own: a brief every morning across your connected apps, a message only when something needs you, follow-ups drafted from HubSpot. It shows you every send, payment or signature and waits for your OK. Built for small business owners. By waitlist, in the US, for Pro, Max and Ultra.
💳
The Ultra plan (October 30)
Max 20x becomes Ultra, still at $200 a month: 10 times Pro usage every week, no five-hour limit for verified accounts, and monthly API credits.
☁️
Chat and Cowork together for Enterprise (October 23)
One conversation for a quick question or a full project. Long tasks run in the cloud and keep going after you close your laptop.
📈
Smart reports, surveys and pooled budgets (October 28)
For Enterprise: what each team does with Claude, what it costs, where it gets stuck, and which recurring tasks to turn into skills. Plus in-app surveys and a shared budget per group.
🏷️
Project tags (November 6)
Tag a project with a client number or a cost code, then read spend by tag. For an agency, that's Claude's cost client by client. In beta on Enterprise.
🛒
A bigger Marketplace (November 4)
Over 25 partner products that large companies can pay for with part of their Anthropic commitment. For marketing: AirOps for visibility in AI answers, Runway for video, Webflow for your website.
🔎
Code Review for everyone (October 15)
Automatic reviews of GitHub pull requests leave preview: 6 to 10 minutes per review instead of about 20, and a Quick, Standard or Deep level per repository. On Team and Enterprise.

Quick fixes

🛠️ if something doesn't work
📄
Claude writes text instead of a file
Say "make this a document I can download." Also check that "Create and edit files" is on in your settings (its older name is "Code execution and file creation").
⚡
You can't find Opus 5.5
You need a paid plan. Open the model menu next to the send button.
🌐
The browser won't do anything
The extension only works in Google Chrome, not in other Chromium browsers or on mobile. Check that it's signed in and open on the website. For the built-in browser, the desktop app has to stay open.
🧠
No memory on a team account
On Team and Enterprise, the admin controls it. Ask them.
👻
Incognito won't make a file
That's normal in the new Claude experience. Switch back to a normal chat for documents.
🐢
Answers feel slow on Max
Lower the effort for simple questions. Keep Max for the truly hard problems.

Do this today

Switch to Opus 5.5, then ask Claude for one document or deck you actually need this week. While it works, open your memory and delete anything that's wrong. Ten minutes, and you've already used three of the five features.
