Fable 5 is Anthropic's most powerful model. Until July 7, it is included in your Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team), up to 50% of your weekly usage limits. After that, it switches to paid usage credits.

A few days to put the best model on the market to work, for free.

Most people will ask it three questions and move on. You are going to give it real jobs. Here are 8 of them, each with a starter prompt, plus 3 tips to get the most out of it.

What you need
1
An active Claude plan. Pro, Max, or Team. Fable 5 is available on claude.ai, in Claude Code, and in Cowork.
2
Select Fable 5. Check the active model before launching a big job, otherwise another model answers.
1

Find every bug before your users do

🛠️ Claude Code

The job: a full audit of your codebase, ranked by severity, without fixing anything until you say go.

Read this whole codebase and find real bugs, broken edge cases, and anything that falls over in front of a user. List everything by severity and do not fix anything until I say go.
Why it works
The "do not fix anything" constraint forces real audit work instead of a rushed patch. You keep control over what gets fixed, and in what order.
2

Clone the apps you pay for

🛠️ Claude Code

The job: rebuild the core features of an app you pay for every month, locally. Your data stays on your machine.

Research how [app] works and write a plan to rebuild its core features as a local app on my machine. Then build it, test it, and keep going until the basics work end to end.
3

Build a game while you sleep

🛠️ Claude Code

The job: an entire project running autonomously. You define the end state, it iterates on its own until it works.

/goal Build me a 3D explorable world that runs in the browser. Keep testing and improving it until it runs smooth and feels like a real game.
The pattern to remember
"Keep going until it works" is the phrase that changes everything with Fable 5. It turns a single answer into an autonomous work loop.
4

Cancel your forgotten subscriptions

💸 Claude + browser

The job: a full picture of everything you pay for, and a hunt for the subscriptions you no longer use.

Break down my spending from the last 30 days into a table and a pie chart of everything I pay for. Flag every subscription I barely use so we can cancel them one by one.
5

Back-test your stock hunches

📈 claude.ai

The job: confront an investment hunch with real data, with agents arguing against each other before concluding.

I have a hunch: [your theory]. Prove it or destroy it: pull the real data, back-test it, have your agents challenge each other, and give me only the answer that survives the arguments.
6

Generate your whole ad campaign

🎯 claude.ai

The job: a complete set of ad creatives, generated in parallel, with the good ones sorted from the bad.

Set a goal to make a full set of image and video ads for [product], using my site and my script as the source. Generate them in parallel, review each one, and sort them into approved and rejected folders.
7

Get advice from your real numbers

📊 claude.ai + connectors

The job: an assessment of your business based on your actual data, not generic advice.

Read my plan document and pull live stats from every account I connected. Write a one-page assessment of my business and the three things I should focus on next quarter.
8

Let it edit your next video

🎬 Claude Code

The job: the first cut of your video, captions and overlays included. Anthropic's own team edits video with Fable.

Edit the first two minutes of my video: add captions, overlay the tweets I mention, and tease scenes from later in the video. Then add a chapter title card with a small sound effect between sections.

3 tips to get the most out of it

🎚️
Set the effort level
In Claude Code, the /effort command adjusts thinking depth (low, medium, high, xhigh). High is enough for almost everything. Switch to xhigh for complex builds and multi-step analyses.
📊
Save it for the big jobs
Fable 5 draws from your weekly limits, capped at 50% until July 7. Give simple questions to a standard model. Fable is for the jobs on this list.
🎯
Give it goals, not steps
Fable 5 is built for long-run autonomy. Describe the end state and the constraints, then let it iterate. Every prompt on this list follows that pattern.

What happens after July 7?

Fable 5 is not going away: it switches to usage credits, and Anthropic plans to bring it back into subscriptions once capacity allows. But the included window is now.

Pick a job from the list and launch it today. The worst-case scenario is a superpowered model included in your subscription that you never tried.
