You watch a YouTube video to learn something. You nod along, it feels clear, and three days later almost nothing is left. It is not you, it is the format: watching a video is passive learning, and you retain about 10% of it.
The Claude AI Lab is my Skool community where I share my Claude systems and the more advanced modules. Entry is free.
Join the Lab →The trick: turn the video into a small app that explains the topic, lets you ask your questions, and quizzes you at the end. You go from spectator to player. Two free Google tools are enough, NotebookLM and Gemini, and it takes five minutes.
Copy the YouTube video link
Pick a video on the topic you want to master: a tutorial, a talk, a deep explainer. The denser it is, the bigger the payoff. Just copy its URL from the address bar or the Share button.
Create a notebook in NotebookLM
Generate your learning app in Gemini
Build me an application from the attached NoteBook that teaches me this topic. Use Canvas as the design tool. The app should let me ask questions, get clear explanations, and quiz me at the end.
Run it on everything
The real power is repetition. A skill to pick up, a fuzzy concept, a two-hour talk: every time, the same loop, video, notebook, app. You build yourself a library of personal coaches, one per topic.
